What’s the last book you read?
I just finished reading the Hobbit with my 6 and 7 year old sons. It was such an incredible experience to see the adventure through their eyes. I think they are a bit young for Lord of the Rings so we have just started Chronicles of Narnia as well. 

What was your first job?
I got permission from my parents to work young as a lifeguard when I was 15 years old. It was the perfect first job.

How do you define success?
Success is when you realize that you can learn from every failure.

What song do you have on repeat these days?
I am an emo kid at heart. I still have “Remember to Breathe” by Dashboard Confessional on repeat.

What do you admire most about your closest friends?
My friends and family are the biggest blessings in my life. All of them strive to put others first and would do anything for one another.

Who is your favorite saint?
St. Francis of Assisi is my patron but I have been loving Aquinas lately. I am finally almost smart enough to understand him.

If you could host a dinner with 3 historical figures, who would you invite? …And what would you serve?
I would serve medium rare rib eyes with a mushroom risotto. I would invite Jesus, Joan of Arc, and John Wayne.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My wife and I would say our children are our greatest achievement. We thank God for them every day.

What words do you use too much?
INCREDIBLE

What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
I pray while brushing my teeth and then hop on stream for work.

What is your favorite hobby or pastime?
Smoking meat and drinking bourbon with my closest friends.

What’s the best lesson you had to learn the hard way?
Trying to please everyone will hurt the people that are closest to you. Put your family and friends first.

What is your vision of heaven?
Eternal worship of God with the peace and knowledge of doing that with family. Or the Lions winning the Super Bowl.

How do you define “missionary disciple”?
A Catholic that wakes up every morning and decides to continue to pursue the heart of God while serving Him and others.

If an actor were to play you in a movie about your life, who would you cast?
John C. Reiley because people say I remind them of him; but Brad Pitt because we are both so handsome.

What makes you laugh?
TikTok Comments are pure comedy gold at the moment.

What’s your biggest fear?
Something horrible happening to my family. Or never seeing the Lions win a playoff game.

What talent or skill do you wish you had?
Woodworking. Like Ron Swanson but even better.

What keeps you up at night?
Late night NBA or NHL games. Dreaming of the future.

What is your life motto or mantra?
I love you. God loves you more. Let’s change the world.
